Meet Chab: The Dumpling Targ
Chab’s name means “dumpling” in Klingon, and if you’ve ever seen him, you’d know why! Soft, squishy, and absolutely adorable, Chab was the very first targ we crafted, and he instantly won hearts with his chubby little body and sweet eyes. Unlike most targs, who tend to be fierce warriors, Chab is all about cozy naps, belly rubs, and snacks—lots of snacks.
Chab’s story took a wonderful turn when he caught the eye of his new human companion, Ripamaru. After seeing Chab’s irresistible charm, Ripamaru knew they had to give him a forever home. The adoption process was swift, and soon Chab was on his way to Earth, where he would start his new life.
We couldn’t have asked for a better match! Ripamaru shares Chab’s love of comfort and cozy environments, so we’re confident Chab is living the ultimate targ life—cuddled up and munching on snacks whenever he pleases.
Every targ plush has a story, but Chab’s will always be extra special. As the very first plush targ to be adopted, Chab’s journey from the wilds of Qo’noS to his forever home is one we’ll never forget.

Chab Will Always Be Special To Us
Since being adopted, Chab has settled into his new life beautifully. He’s been spotted lounging on soft pillows, taking long naps, and occasionally getting a gentle belly rub (his favorite thing in the world). Ripamaru has made sure Chab feels right at home, and the two have become inseparable companions.
As our first adopted targ, Chab holds a special place in our hearts. His story is a reminder of why we started making these plushies in the first place—to bring a little piece of Qo’noS into the lives of Star Trek fans everywhere. Chab’s legacy lives on through the rest of our plushies, each one unique and ready for their own adventures.
We’ll never forget Chab’s journey, and we’re so grateful to Ripamaru for giving him such a loving home. It’s adopters like them who make the targ adoption program such a joy!
